Why am I having trouble deleting morphs from my G8?

Ive been going through my data folder and deleting morphs that I dont use in an effort to cut back on the amount of memory that my G8f consumes. Im removing all of the relavant folders that are listed in the file (manual installer here) so I would think that that would do it. Not so, some morphs remain in my G8f even after the data folder is gone. Does someone know where to find these phantom morphs? Thanks.

Edit: For reference, the morphs im currently trying to get rid of are the Killer Leg morphs, https://www.daz3d.com/killer-legs-2-0-morphs-for-genesis-8-female .

First thing that comes to mind, is that you have installed and/or updated the products also in Smart Content - Smart Content (=DAZ Connect) uses a different path to install products (one with "...\Cloud\..." in the path). DS Connect installed products also have priority over all other installation methods, so if DS Connect installed files are corrupt, DS cannot find files installed by other methods, which would still be intact and functional.

Nope, thats not it. I dont use or install through smart content or connect. Connect has remained deactivated on my daz since the start. The only way that anything is installed or updated on my computer is by manual installation.

Yes, I know, thanks. It has already been deleted from my content library as has the relevant data folder.

Did you save those killer legs morphs as character preset? I always manually delete morphs from my library after closing DS and restart DS after deleting and it works fine for me.

Wild guess, did you restart Studio?

Ahhh, interesting. Very possibly yes. Yah, ive closed down and restarted to no avail, but you might be right about the character preset. I have a few of those. Ill check that.

Especially, if you have saved them as "Support Assets" as many have mistakenly done.

Ok, so, after removing all of my character presets and all of my scene files, the morphs remained. I got rid of them by re-downloading the manual install file and then doing a search for all of the contained morphs in file explorer. Since they all had the prefix FK or 1FK, they were easy enough to locate although I could not tell you what folder they had made it into. I manually deleted each, relaunched daz and g8f and the offending morphs were gone.

So it seems that with some of these morphs, they are being copied into the genesis figures? Is this maybe a result of the smart content data you were talking about, PerttiA?

Nothing is being "copied into" genesis figures, but if the morph files are saved into folders that DS reads when loading the figure, the morphs will be loaded as well.
