Do I really have to download PS and CA versions of products?

Quick question...Several DS products also come with Poser and Ca versions. Do I really need to download the Ps and Ca versions for the DS version to work? With my slow-as-snails DSL modem it takes a LOOOOOG time to download the larger packages.

No.
Not usually, no - in somecases you may see a larger Poser file and a small Daz Studio Companion File (CF) and in those cases you do need both the Poser base and the DS companion (usually materials settings).
So far 8 things I purchased this morning (most had one a PS version and some a Ca version as well) has been downloading for over 2 hours now and there are still 5 more items waiting to be downloaded after the other 4.
Richard, could you post an image of those files so I can see for sure what you are talking about. I just check what's left and saw a PoserCF item along with the DS version. Here's an image of what I have left.
The Yosemite packs are stand-alone, you need only the DS versionm. The same for the Hidden Waterfall pool. The PoserCF you don't need, though it's probably a tibny file anyway - usually those are the Poser library files for Genesis/Genesis 2 content that works with the DSON Importer for Poser and have no texture or geometry files.
If you click the Download Filters button (top-left) you should be able to exclude content of unwanted types.
Download filters???? Why didn't I notice that before (I need new glasses). Thanks, I think that will help a lot. Thank you.
Richard, I have a couple of more questions. First, I unchecked the posers in the filter but IM is still listing a couple of Ps files. Did I miss something?
Also. is there a way to search all the downloaded Poser files that's been installed so I can delete them?
Thanks again for your help.
It may be that the ones that are still showing are cases where you do need them, plus any StudioCF package, to use the product.
I'm not sur there is a way to show packages that are strictly Poser and not needed for DS, but if you have installed the default install manager filters you could try clicking the maginfying glass at top-right and see what options there are.
