Downloading the Latest DS?

So frustrating, I want to download the latest daz (Fig 8.1 apparently won't work with my old 4.10 version), but when I click on that link it takes me to a page to download Daz Central. So I download Daz Central and it won't work. Is this a Mac/Safari issue? Daz...you need to make things easier.

Which version of MacOS? Big Sur is not supported at this time.

Maybe that's the problem. I'm using Mac OS Sierra on a 2010 Mac Pro Tower. What version of Daz will 8.1 figs work with? I think Facemotion and other motion capture tools require Daz Studio 4.14 to work. But moving up to more recent Daz versions means my graphics cards won't be used for rendering. I keep my DS 4.10 on one machine just so I can use it for rendering.

As far as I know that should be able to install the latest build, though as you note you won't be able to use your GPU for rendering (assuming you hav an nVidia GPU in the first place). Genesis 8.1 will work in older versions of DS, but it won't automatically pick up Genesis 8 morphs or content and the new PBR Skin shader won't work.

Thanks. But how? Why am I taken to a Daz Central download page and not a Daz Studio download page? Where is the page for the latest build?

Okay I think I found another page that, oddly, wants me to enter new ID, email, and password (though I'm already signed in), and then a download...but it just downloaded Daz Central.  But one this is open, Daz and Daz to Blender start to install. This process should be part of the onsight instructions so people know what to expect.

For some reason there is no way to just download the program from a main page on this website. You can however go to your Product Library and filter by "DAZ Studio", find the item that says Daz Studio 4x. Pro and download it from there. But like Richard says, version 4.15 which is required for G8.1 doesn't currently work in Big Sur.

Thanks. Daz has never made it easy, have they?
