Grayscale bitmaps of Daz landscapes

It would be nice if Daz had a grayscale maker built in.

So for instance, I could take a Terradome landscape turn it onto a grayscale image and then load it into ultra scenery without having to export/import anything other than possibly a bitmap...

Right clicking on a landscape in the scene tab and "create grayscale" would be very useful.

The problem with Terradome landscapes is they don't have any trees or vegetation.

Ultra scatter would fix that but Ultra scenery would be even better.

Having a grayscale image of land, then one could crop the desired location within the image in Photoshop.

Or if Ultra Scenery would import Terradome and other land types, DEM maps etc.

Considering Terradome landscapes are very large maybe the "A" landscapes would be good candidates and having the grayscale image, a very quick crop of that image would be very easy.

Iray does support depth as one of the canvas types in the Advanced tab of Render Settings.

Hmmm, that is very useful info info! I am not that skilled at canvases, it is probably time to become fluid with using them. There is a lot of great stuff that can be done with them.

    Thanks Richard!

Probably a top down view of a landscape would produce a desired grayscale bitmap?
