Just installed 4.15 Beta and in default settings, g8.1f seemed to be rendering longer than g8f in 4.8
My gpu is gtx 960 with 4 gb vram. Other spec of pc: 16 gb ram, i-5 @ 3,2 ghz
If anyone has similar setup and using latest DAZ Studio builds, would love to know your optimal iRay setting options. So it might lack a bit quality maybe, but doesnt take as long.
So far, i'm not even sure if CUDA even used, in task manager it got 0% display.

Check the log, it should tell you if it is used. It should have a bunch of stuff like:
1.3 IRAY rend progr: CUDA device 1 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070): Processing scene...
And should also tell you if it ran out of vram and fell back to CPU. It's not really render settings that will help. There is one product here I use all the time called scene optimizer, it is able to reduce map sizes and help it fit in your VRAM. Maps tend to be the thing that sends it into CPU mode for me, followed by high subd levels on figures.
I`m using i7 laptop with Nvidia GTX 860M 4GB card . If I must render with IRAY my first checklist will be change all texture resolution to 1024 or 2048 and sometimes take out texture map in nails or inner mouth .
You can use this excellent script by mjCasual to replace all map in scenes https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts3/mcjalttex
Another trick will be limit max samples to 300 - 500 . In my case thats enough because I tend to doing postwork to enhance my renders
I think there is shader pack in DAZ store which mimicking skin or hair shader but without using texture map . I believe that pack created by mattyman
Thanks you for suggestions!
