Also interested as I have the first clue about MD

Looks pretty limited to me. No mention of dForce - only conforming clothing. I'd be more interested in something which shows how to use MD to create dForce clothes with an explanation of the necessary steps to set up the dForce surface presets. Also, I'm not sure how the example is textured. Is it just a shader preset or does it go into texturing with UV maps?

I have MD8 but so far have not created anything for DAZ Studio - just too tempting to buy dForce, I guess.

I didn't buy it. I wasn't impressed by the appearance of the garment in the promo images. But I'd be interested in hearing what other people think if it if they buy it.
I have the DarkEdgeDesign tutorial and I think it is excellent for beginners. There is a whole thread in the forum about it. The Redux tutorial wasn't as helpful to me, because it used a lot of ZBrush, which I don't have.

I am similar to this comment.  I have not purchased because the top has no sleeves, and dealing with jcms and weightmaps for armpits of sleeved shirts can be a significant issue.  If someone has purchased the tutorial and can confirm that similar JCM and MCM issues are covered on something other than the sleeveless top then I would be more likely to purchase.

Um, i dont think you need to buy tutorials to learn how to use MD - you can find those for free on youtube.  Hundreds of them.

Looking at the contents of the tutorial, it is a tutorial on using MD, not on content creation for Daz.

You will find a million free tutorials for MD on the internet.  But what you wont find and what you need to buy is a tutorial on bringing MD content to Daz for for the purpose of content creation.  The esha content creation tutorials are probably best for that...

The fact that FG tutorial just says

    - convert to a conforming figure

    - simple weight map adjustment

This makes me think it doesnt cover lots of aspects of transfer utility, weight map adjustments, and pJCMs, which the esha content creation tutorial covers.

Also making a singlet feels like cheating.  Yes, you may encounter breast issues, but wont have to deal with the armpit pJCMS... so a tutorial that actually tackles a more complex garment is probably better.

Thank you for your feedback. That what I thought but wanted to make sure.

I do have already DarkEdge tuts as well as Esha's and they are great.
