a probably easy solution to a stupid problem (i messed up my hdri lights)

in The Commons
I apologize again for making so many posts...
Working on a char I had a free hdri light set on, but I switched to another one and noticed none of the pics for the previews were matching up.
I switched back to the one I had been using and now it's not right.
How do I fix this?

That HDRI seems very directional.
One possibility is that you in your first image had the headlamp on, and off in the second.
probably Render Settings -> Environment -> Dome Rotation
I went there and hit 'defaults' and it changed nothing. but when i set dome rotation all the way down it went back to normal.
i went back to the other lights to take a look at them however and they're still a bit different. brighter?
is this because my exposure is set to default?
Are you saying that you several scenes and you want them all the same?
Open a scene with the desired lighting.
Save as -> Render Settings Preset
Select only the Tone Mapping and Environment boxes.
Now close the scene with the "correct" lighting and open the scene with the "wrong" lighting.
Apply preset that you had just saved.
