Unable to Access the Forums (Again)

I'm having to use my "spare" login I set up in January to access the forums.

Yesterday I had exactly the same experience as I (and several others) had back in January: SEE THIS THREAD for details

I was happily signed on with my real is and reading a forum page, but when I clicked the page number at the bottom to see the next page I got that "Something has gone wrong" message. Since then I have been unable to access the forums at all. (I was also getting those cloudfare error messages intermittently yesterday, but this is a different thing).

Is this just me, or have others got the same problem?

Should I be raising a ticket?

There are a few of us in the same situation, I've been locked out for almost a week now. They're aware of the issue, I don't know if another ticket will help.

Ah, thanks. Actually I reopened my ticket (or rather added a "follow-up" request to it) earlier. Let's hope they fix it (at least as well as they did in January) soon.

I've been locked out for the past two days. I opened a ticket yesterday which had the usual adivce of clearing the cache, etc. None of which worked.

As of right now I am able to access the forum. The ticket hasn't been touched, so I don't know what the cause / resolution is / was.

There is an HTTP header that the forum is trying to log to the database, but since HTTP headers are passed up by the user they started getting longer than the database field for them (silly browsers and their super long version numbers), so we added in some code to trim those headers down on size before they get stored away for whatever reason the forums thinks that it needs that header.

Thank you for noting that you were able to get back in.

I will go back and update my ticket by Monday, if the issue doesn't reoccur.

I wasn't sure if it was resolved or it was due to my being on a different computer. Hence the post to see if anyone else is reporting a resolution.

Sounds complicated! Thanks for the fix - I am (at least for the moment) back in with my "real" id.

ETA: I'll give it the weekend to check no further problems then close my tickte too.
