Apply Face Transfer to New Figure?

Hello!

I used Face Transfer to create a face for a G8 character. I want to turn her into a G8.1, but the "Face Transfer Morph" doesn't seem to save as a Shaping Preset.

Is there any way to transfer the head morph to a new character?

Thanks!

Did it create a morph dial when you saved it? 8.1 shoul have access to all the morphs saved under 8. Look in the parameters tab (or shaping tab) and search for the name (or 'Face Transfer') and see if it shows up.

Well, it created the typical "Face Transfer" morph. But that doesn't save with the Shaping Preset for some reason.

Different idea - a shaping preset is a single file to double-click and apply to another figure - You can save one by yourself using 'save as' and choosing 'shaping preset'

If it's saved as a morph dia for genesis 8, you'll be able to apply it to 8.1 by using the slider in the parameters/shaping tab.

You didn't say, so I'm not sure if you did this but first you need to save the face (use the Save Face tab under Face Transfer). This will give your morph a unique name and save a scene subset wherever you want. The Face Transfer slider you get after creating a face is just a temporary thing.
Second thing is you have to load that scene subset and manually save the morph with File - Save As - Support Asset - Morph Asset. Fill in the top details as you need (look up saving morphs if you're not sure) and in the bottom section, locate the morph under Genesis 8 Female - Actor - Head - Face Transfer. Tick the box next to the one you want, then click Accept.
Now you can clear the scene, load G8F, dial in your newly saved morph and save a Shaping Preset from there....or you can simply load G8.1F and dial the morph in. If you need the materials, save them from the scene subset.

Creating the face only creates the morph in memory, saving a scene subset puts it into that file only, nowhere else and saving it manually allows you to use it like any other morph. Hope that helps.
