Transform, Rotate and Universal Gizmo Locations

Hello,

I have been searching for a long time for resolution to an issue I sometimes run in to.

1) I click on an object and the Gizmo to Transform or Rotate are way off the screen in a location that makes little sense.
2) What happens to cause this?
3) How do I resolve this issue and reposition the Gizmo?

Workarounds, I select a part of the object, like the hip of a Genesis figure, that moves the entire object and hope that the Gizmo is closer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Joint Editor Tool will give you a red and green marker. Go in to Orthographic camera mode and move the two markers to where you want them. Or another way is to Create a Null, position the Null to your object and parent the object to the null. Then use the Null to move the object.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. The null object worked great. I still have to learn the joint editor tool.
