Looking for an Alternative to Jett Hair

I recently bought (and unfortunately returned) Jett Hair. I bought it because I love, love this style of hair. There are a lot of shaved-side hairdoos for women (and men), but very few that are longer than shoulder length.
Unfortunately, I found the hair was too low-rez for any kind of close-up images. If you are aware of another hair like Jett Hair but looks nicer in close-ups, please let me know!
Linday's Side Bob comes close, but is a more angular. Xenya Hair by outoftouch is good too, but the side is too shaved, if that makes sense. Maybe there's something I can do to make the Xenya hair have a more pronounced looking side shave?

Oops, saw you already mentioned this one. You could very well kitbash one of OOT's other shorter styles with shaved sides together with Xenya hair. I commonly combine two or even three hairstyles together.
Maybe this outoftouch hair at Rendo? Never mind, you already mentioned that one.
You know, the hairline has always subconciously bothered me too!! I didn't realize until you pointed it out though.
It's really a shame, I think if Jett Hair was higher resolution, it'd be perfect. The styling is exactly what I want.

Interesting. I like the customization options for the sides a lot! I'm not very familiar with MRL hairs, but it looks decent in the promo pictures and gallery renders. I'll give this one a try, thank you!

Gem hair is gorgeous! It's almost perfect for what I want.
I struggled with the same issue, like you starting with the disappointing Jett hair. The story I'm making takes place over a couple of years so I needed the hair to get longer, and went with both Gem hair and Xenya hair. Gem hair is good but I constantly have to adjust the skull cap. Never had another hair with this issue to this extent; in fact it is where I learned about the "squiggles" that new users always ask about.. I resisted buying Xenya because I try not to buy from the "R" site because they are not the ones who made this free software we're using, however, Xenya was fantastic. It conforms perfectly to every pose I've thrown at it. It's the best non-DForce hair I have.

Interesting enough, it looks like Propschick made another shaved-side hairdo that looks more promising: Dynah Hair
The promos and gallery renders look a lot nicer than Jett Hair. I think I'm going to pick up all three of the recommended hairs since they're all on sale.

I'd be wary of Dynah hair. Fibermesh hair is typically only used on very short hairstyles, since it's modeled as a physical mesh. Long fibermesh hair like that will probably eat up your memory and processing power.
There's a freebee called Side Swept Rose hair. Its not shaved on the short side, but it works quite well.
