Best current specs, need help

I am getting a new computer and I want the best computer possible to do Iray renders and all new components for using DAZ3D studio.  Not the minimum, the best, can anyone assist.  I see older posts but they don't always include the newest settings etc.  I do know I will be getting a PC, Intel and Nvidia Card. I need to know best for  NVIDIA GPU card with CUDA 2.0+ cores if Cuda 2.0 is current...anyone can help?  Also, best amount of RAM on Nvidia card and on PC processor.

Hopefully there are some great techs here to assist.  thank you for your time and happy holiday.

    Ok, you said "Intel", so...

    Processor Intel Core i9-10980XE 3,0 GHz LGA2066
    GPU NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000 48 Gt (or on a budget Asus GeForce ROG-STRIX-RTX3090-O24G-GAMING)
    Memory Kingston HyperX PREDATOR DDR4 3000 MHz CL15 128 Gt
    PSU Corsair AX1600i Digital, 80 PLUS Titanium

    Drives;

    PerttiA, thank you so much.....wow things have changed, use to be a bit more understanding to me, but these specs are great. This should put me up to date. Thank you again.

    Why go with Intel? Get an AMD 5950X. Way faster. And can probably get it for cheaper. Motherboard is almost certainly cheaper. You get PCIe 4 as well. Heck, you don't even need that many cores for rendering as the GPU does most of the work. Also, good luck finding GPUs these days.

    Question, I don't know can  you run Nvidia with AMD 5950x processor?  And I know it has been crazy trying to replace my older pc, it is only 6 years old, and good processor 32gb ram but the nvidia graphics card is just not powerful enough.  I was also told my processor just does not have enough power.  I don't want to get a lesser computer and have it be new, but put me in the same situation as far as rendering.  It is getting crazy.

    Oh I can see Nvida does work fine with this processor....and the hunt continues.  Thank you .

  • In the past I've always been an Intel snob but I recently bought a new machine with a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, 32GB RAM and a RTX 3080Ti GPU and I'm very pleased with it.

    Think of the RTX 3080Ti as a downgraded 3090 instead of an upgraded 3080, 12GB of VRAM instead of 24GB but still over 10K CUDA cores.

    Best Wishes
    Steve.

    GPU's are still as easy to find as unicorns I assume, when will this change ?

    Has already changed on this side of the pond, at least in countries still belonging to the EU. wink

    Looking at just one online store, I could buy 28pcs 3090's, 32pcs 3080 Ti's, one 3080 and 8pcs 3070's, the 12GB 3060 is out of stock at the moment, but they have been replenishing quite often.
