Content library Thumb nails all gone

Mark NeelyMark Neely Posts: 7

I Installed DAZ studio 4.7 Pro on my new computer. I managed to get all of my content, Both DAZ and Poser into daz4.7, and all worked fine. Then I must have done something wrong because I no longer have any Thumb nails, or directory's in my content folder. I had no problems at first. I did a total system scan, and all of my old content showed up and was usable, Poser 5 through 8 library's came up, as well as all DAZ Studio, Now I have to do a search just to find anything. I also no longer have product library index, DAZ, or Poser. I know I was doing different things in the sub folder in the content sub menu, but I have run system drive searches several time with no problem. Could I have accidentally hit something wrong? Like Hit Migrate or content manager, or something like that. I even tryed uninstalling and then a frersh reinstall, still have problems. tryed as many restore defaults as I could find. Please help me if you can, I'm in the middle of a large project and have hit a brick wall. (with my Head)

Did you close the Content Library pane, or is the pane still there but not showing anything? If the former, you can reopen it from Window > Panes; if the latter, it may be that parts of the pane have been collapsed -- if you post a screenshot we can see what's up.

Thank You for your speedy response. Yes the content pain are there, but no thumb nail's for my content are present, except a very small amount in the smart content tab. Here is a screen shot of the interface, along with the menu I was last using when all this happend.

Looks like the panel has been collapsed. In between the panels is a small button to expand/collapse them.Try clicking that to see if it fixes it.

Thank You Very Much Sir. That worked. It's all back. Couldn't even see the button. You have just made the start of my New Year a good one. Have a very Happy New Year, and THX again.

I had exactly the same thing happen, except that I don't have a closed window. Daz crashed, and now it shows a green button in the left lower corner of the place the smart content should appear, that says 'start CMS' If you press it, nothing happens. There are still no smart content, no product list, etc. (both of these are still present in version 4.6, but I have no access to it in 4.7 after it crashed. I like 4.7 better though and would like to use it. Is there a way to make it appear?

I was told to do this, and now it did work. Here you are for whoever else it helps:

    1. Close DAZ studio
    2. Uninstall postgreSQL using DAZ install manager
    3. Re install postgreSQL using install manager
    4. Open DAZ studio
    5. Navigate to Smart Content and right click on the tab then select "content db maintenance"
    6. In the new window that opens check reset database and click accept
    7. Repeat step 5 this time check re import meta data
    8. Click accept on any following windows.

    Thanks Daz team.
