why is it that when ram cache is use the strand based hair is connected while when disk cache is used the strand based hair is not connected to the actor??

did a 30 frame animate, close to 4 hours only to find that the strand based hair did not follow the actor.

in the the view port it looked good. in the ax view port it looked good. the movie render not good.

found out that this made it work:
strand based hair ->rendering->general->render method->ram cache

if disk cache is selected the strand based hair will not move with the actor even when it is fitted to said actor

why is that??
