GoZ not working at all here

Can someone tell me step-by-step how to send a mesh from DAZ Studio to Zbrush and back using GoZ?  I think I'm doing it the right way, but when Zbrush tries to send it back, it always gives an error message saying the topology has changed - even if I don't edit it at all.

I use the File -> Send to Zbrush command, check Export with Deformations, Zbrush opens, I draw the tool in the window, do whatever to it as long as the polycount stays the same, then click the little GoZ button in the Tool panel and up comes the error message.

Thanks in advance for any help. Going to bed now, so I'll test any suggestions in the morning.

Probably has to do with your subdivion settings, please see here:

edit: did a quick test with DS>GoZ>Zbrush>Goz>DS with Resolution Level=High Resolution I get the same error message as you and with Resolution Level=Base it works!

Could be the resolution level like modeller mentioned, could also be bad geometry like have ngons.  Zbrush will fix bad geometry automatically so the mesh has changed when you're sending it back.

Try something else, like create a primitive.  If you have Blender you can also export and check the geometry with that.

Thanks, I think I got it solved and it wasn't the subdivision (I had already tested that and was still getting errors). It looks like something was going on when I first dragged the tool out in Zbrush. I was trying to drag it as large as possible (which I guess isn't necessary?) and to keep it aligned properly with the ground plane so that symmetry and mirror/weld worked as expected, and I guess any undos or mistakes at that very first point will mess up the whole process.

Do you have to drag the tool out when using GoZ; is there a way to just load it like if you used the Load Tool menu item? Also, I tried subdividing the object in Zbrush to preview what it would look like back in Studio at high resolution, then set it back to zero subdivision before using GoZ again to send it back to Studio and it worked fine. Didn't expect that to work.
