Half the model disappears during render

Hi, does anyone know why this is happening?  I'm unable to get around the problem no matter what I do.  Screenshot 1 shows what the viewport looks like in PBR mode, and it shows the entire model in the viewport.  Screenshot 2 is the IRAY preview and it clips half the model out of view.  I'm loading this model with all it's defaults, to include the camera but it always renders the model 'cut off' with a big gray patch, like a big gray wall is running thru the model.  It's almost like the model is out of reach of the camera when it renders although I can see it fine in the viewport while I'm working with it.  I don't know if that makes sense but I'm not sure how else to explain it.  In Poser, there's a hither and yon setting for the cameras and playing with that will usually get the entire model into camera view but Daz doesn't appear to have a setting like that and I'm stumped.  If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't recognise this scenery (so I probably don't have it and can't check), but did you try selecting the part that becomes invisible in the render and checked that the 'display' settings for 'visible in render' is switched 'on'?

I would guess the background is a HDRi and you don't have the environment dome checked as on for visible

Another possibility is that the diameter of the environment dome is not 'infinite', and as a result is clipping the model.

Have you checked if it renders in CPU mode? Might be that the combined texture size of the whole scene is too large to fit into VRAM. I have the product, and it does render fine with all default settings.

Is it possible that you have an invisible Iray Section Plane in your scene? Or maybe parented to the camera?

I'm thinking what richardandtracy said... that's what happens in Poser with some of the really big sets I've made, the dome clips the model if I forget to reset it.

Hey, so sorry but I've been at work all day but see someone's answered it already.  And that model is beautiful; what I can see of the rendered version anyway lol.  wink

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!  I'm going to try them all and when I find what works, I'll post back in case anyone else has the same issue.  smiley

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and it turned out that somehow, a camera set from another model was loading in at the startup and it had 4 invisible planes attached to it.  That obstructed every view unless I used that camera.  Once I deleted it I could see everything normally!  Really appreciate the help!
