sales gimmick or really are being deleted?

so at the very least so far unless I've missed some being flash sales there have been two perhaps more coming of these $1.99 clearance sales. Are these items really being vaulted or completely removed? Can understand perhaps real old stuff v/m 4 and earlier but there has been fair few products listed that are really not that old at all like the Gou Luck bundle, Sw French Quater, several gen 8 figures, fantasy weapons, hdri's and other stuff. Also again if they are being removed instead of doing them in a flash sale that many may miss out on wouldn't it be better placing them in fast grab still at the $1.99 price

The flash sales are not vault sales. Nothing in the flash sales says they will be gone forever. The word clearance might imply that to some, but I'm 100% sure that's not the case. There do seem to be one or two items that were supposed to be vaulted that are still being sold. But possibly those sold well during their vault sale phase and so were kept around. I don't think it's a conspiracy, they are just changing their minds. And the poses I'm thinking of were sold for $2 during the vault sale. Then later they were $1.99. So not really that big a deal, imo.
They're trying to clear your wallet. The items included in the Gou Luk bundle are too good to just stick in a vault.
Well, with physical products in physical stores (as apposed to virtual products in virtual stores), sometimes a clearance sale is "We have too many of this particular object in our back room, we need to clear these books and mugs and variety-coffee-packs out of the local warehouse to free up room for that big shipment of folding tables due in next week, so.... 75% off it is!" That gotta-clear-the-warehouse thing doesn't really apply literally to virtual products on a computer, though, so I suspect they're just using "clearance sale" (in the sense of one at the local J-Mart) as a theme and a metaphor for this sale. It DID make me buy some things on it I'd wishlisted, just in case they DID get vaulted after this sale, though.
That said, 'Rocity also has their "Clearance"-tag that they use on their back catalog, on stuff that even with the Clearance tag on it, still sticks around for ages in the shop.... so I think they're using "Clearance" simply as a way of saying, "See, we're slapped a steep, steep discount on this ancient product."
well they are fantastic bargins can't deny that and I hope you are all correct wouldn't be first time daz wording made things confusing. I'm just real paranoid at times but sadly my paranoia often turns out true/accurate so I really hope my reaction was wrong and all of you are correct this time
Actually, at Rendo the clearance tag does mean a product may get removed. If it gets removed depends on the item's performance during clearance. If the item still does not sell during the clearance period, it will be removed after the time period is up. If the item does sell then it may stay active in the store. The clearance banner is thus like a warning, it may be unavailable in the future if nobody buys it. Also, the way an item gets selected for clearance ties directly to its sales. If an item is not purchased by anyone for a specific period of time it is then automatically sent to clearance, and as I said the item may get removed if it continues to be ignored. The PAs at Rendo do not make the call on whether it goes on clearance and is then pulled from the store, these are Rendo's rules. Basically, poorly performing items will get the clearance tag, and if they still do not sell they get removed from Rendo. So the way Rendo handles clearance is logical with what people understand clearance to be.
But here, the term appears to have no meaning. It is nothing but marketing. Although nobody from Daz has actually commented on what "clearance" means, so it really could mean anything. Personally I think using the term this way is deceptive and shameful if the term is purely being used as a sales pitch.
Pretty sure Rendo changed the practice (if not the policy) of their clearance area by popular demand a few years back. I don't think much has actually been removed from their clearance in a long time and some vendors use it as a way to keep items on sale. Daz does clear items from their inventory, but they may not have a clearance or last-call sale before it happens. And at both sites, vendors can pull items from the store.
there have been a few vendors on both sites that have removed their complete catalogue from either site and changed sides some without warning including some well known ones
This is true!
