What counts as a New Release?
Today's sale is a good example of something I see a lot. (Also an example of why I find many of their sales confusing - some use codes, some don't; some have discounts straight away, some don't; some require other products being in the cart at the same time, often broken by also having extra products; all complicated more by PC+ or not PC+; and so on).
The sale text says:
"$2.99 Clearance Items All Day
$1.99* each when you buy any New Release"
The words "New Release" just go to https://www.daz3d.com/shop which is the store with EVERYTHING in. So what counts as a New Release? Things on the first two pages? I often re-sort the store by price or % off, so would have to stop doing that.
Obviously New Release means specific products, but with no guidance on what counts as a New Release, and no indication on the product page, I have no idea how to take advantage of those deals. Which makes me think I have overlooked something obvious.
Secondly: when I go to https://www.daz3d.com/shop there are all the banners, then there are two rows labelled "What's Hot". Is that just what other people bought most recently? Or ar those New Releases, but mislabelled? As an aside, I have no interest in those two rows since what other people buy has no relation to what I might want to buy. To me they are a weird waste of space which pushes the actual store content out of sight so I have to scroll to it.

Ah! Makes sense. Because it just threw me into the normal shop I hadn't noticed the "New" overlay or its significance for some reason. Doh ...
Unfortunately, there's no way to sort New Releases by price (the sort is one or the other) so it's pretty rare I'd ever buy anything that counts as a New Release. Still, at least I understand it now! Cheers!
You can select "Only Show PC+", that will usually list the cheapest New releases on top of the page.

I tried that but it then only listed 7 new sale items at the top; without ticking PC+ it had over 100 new release sale items. So obviously most of the new sale items aren't PC+, and ticking that just excludes them.
If you're PC+ and the condition is any new release, it's worth it to throw the weekly or monthly freebie into your cart (even if you previously bought it) because sometimes (not always, though), it will satisfy the requirement.
Yes, but if you want to find the cheapest ones of all the New items (requires you're a PC+ member of course, I often forget that not everyone are), that's the way to go. PC+ items are generally of good quality so if you need something that triggers a discount but can't afford anything expensive you can often find something you like among them, and they're easy to find this way.

I'm not PC+ any more - the page listing freebies https://www.daz3d.com/platinum-club-plus never worked for me so I missed some of them. I tried different browsers, same thing. It seemed a shame to miss out on stuff, and Daz had no suggestions to fix it.
If you sort the Shop page by "Price - Low-High" free items will show on top.

Thanks, I did that a few times as a workaround, though it meant I saw stacks of free stuff I didn't want each time and had to scroll through it (software plugins, old freebies etc). It was more of a pain than going to a single page twice a week and seeing a new item highlighted. Or, even better, if they had emailed me when they added a new PC+ item, with a link straight to it.
I got this reply on the DAZ Deals Addon thread when I asked about this feature. It looks like a handy page to bookmark.
Thanks Quasar, that's spot on! Now the only question is, when Daz link to New releases, why don't they link to that URL? It's what they mean, but instead they link to the main /shop/. Oh well, a lot of Daz things don't make sense! Definitely a useful URL, ta.
