Fairy failures

Very disappointed to see that Hypertaf's Fairy Tale Props has not provided a solution for finding the princess with the slipper.

Also the Gingerbread House appears to lack an oven.

The product includes both, slippers that load as objects, and also as wearable items parented to the figure's respective foot, they just don't auto-fit, which means they won't deform with the feet as other shoes do. This was done on purpose and is pointed out in the product description, since a hard material like glass wouldn't bend with the toes. So, they do work with a figure, they're just not flexible.

As for the house, it's meant as an outdoor structure, so it doesn't include an interior (or oven). The floor that is included it's so if the user chooses to open the door there won't just be an empty space inside.

I'm deeply worried about whether you solved the solubility problem of having a sugar roof out in the rain, and the advisability of using gingerbread as a structural material. wink

    Lovely looking set.

    Regards,

    Richard

That gingerbread house is not up to code...

Clearly it's using non-load bearing Type-D gingerbread when it should be using Type-C or above for a residential home, or Waterproof Type-H if it's in a humid or tropical environment.
And where are the downspouts on the peppermint gutters... with that center valley on the roof, you are going to have complete frosting rot in two years minimum.
And I don't see any proper fasteners on those candy canes holding up the roof over the front door... and don't get me started on the foundation being made out of wafer cookies... federal law made wafer cookie foundations illegal in the 80s after the great Candyland quake of '82.

    Jeez.

    Actually it looks pretty good.

Edited to add... Dang it, richardandtracy beat me to it with confection related humor.

Love these props- gingerbread house will be perfect table deco at Christmas. And that spinning wheeel is lovely for a medeival scene.

*sigh* I desperately needed this set about a year and a half ago for a project. I had to make do with shaders and random food props.

The coffin would have been particularly welcome. Although it would have still been a pain in the butt converting it to 3DL.

Not to forget the discussion if Cinderella's shoe was really glass (french: verre) or made from pelt of a gray squirrel (old french: vair)... and that "pelt shoe" was a (vulgar) synonym for the female anatomical element, which would make the prince travelling the lands and visiting maidens until he finds the one with a "pelt shoe" that fits so much more interesting and "un-disneylike". devil
