Snow Beast problem.

in The Commons
I have been trying to render the Snow Beast. I morphed him a bit, throwing in some werewolf. But when I hit render, my computer locks. Even the mouse pointer freezes. I have to hit the power button to turn it off. I have a fairly good computer, with Windows 10 Pro, Daz 4.15,02, AMD Ryze. 2700 8 core processor, 370 ghz, 32 gigs of RAM, and two NVIDA GEForce GTX 980 graphics cards. I'm going to fill out a ticket, but I thought I'd ask here. Any thoughts?

How long are you waitning? strand-based fur can be very memory intensive, I would not imagine your GPUs will be much used, but moving all the data around might well bring the system to a crawl.
If it is too heavy for your system you can turn down the hair density in the surface settings for the fur...that should lighten the load
