Are there any converters for converting G8 textures to G8.1

Hi I've been away for awhile. Just getting back.

Are there any converters for converting G8 textures to G8.1 ( especially bodyglove textures). I know how to do the conversion manually but I would like to be able to batch convert. Basically changing the older torso material name to head and body.

You're in luck. All you have to do is load your old mats for G8 onto G8.1. As long as you're in 4.15+ it will automatically load the torso material in to the head and body.

Unfortunately, It won't load the torso files onto a geoshell.

    Any advice on that ?

Load both G8 and G8.1, apply geoshell to both.

Apply mat to both geoshells, then copy the settings from torso surface on the G8 version and paste them to the G8.1 head and body surfaces.

If the geoshell doesn't apply, make sure to change the geoshell to Iray shader first.

Also change the UV Set to Base Female.

    Hi,

I have a lot of bodyglove sets I'd like to update without having to save each file individually. That's why I'm looking for some kind of batch converter script that would change or add the missing body and head material zones to a batch of files. I wonder if there is any way I can do that?

This is not very difficult to script - in fact, the hardest part would be building a simple UI for it. There are several vendors who already have products they could easily modify to do this, maybe see if @RiverSoftArt or @Zev0 would be interested in producing this?
