DIM Doesn't Know About All Purchases - Sometimes!

On a relatively recent laptop installation, DIM knows about all the purchases as 'ready for download'; however, on my main desktop, where (perhaps importantly) many of these products were installed manually into my DS3 content, many fewer products are found.

Is there some way to persuade DIM to reconsider what it considers 'ready for download'? (the laptop that sees all the products does not have any more 'Show' items checked, so that's not it. This is on a Mac, by the way.

DIM should ignore things that were installed manually -- are these things that DIM shows in the Installed pane? If not, are the Download Filters the same on both systems?
