I"m trying it but i'm not achieving results. When i render , supposeldly according to the PDF it says you get mllky skin, like more real but my results are pretty much the same as default skin.
i don't see any milky skin in this V4.
how exactly do you use this SHader? No the PDF didn't help me

So i have an option to use either SubSurface Base shader or UberSurface and i've tried to learn but i can't achieve nothing
One thing you need to do is zero the minimum and maximum values for displacement - that's what is making the lips part in your render (which at least shows that the shader has applied correctly). What settings do you have, especially for the SSS properties?
FOr the SSS properties?
Well let's say i use Subsurface base shader.
I select my figure's skin parts in the Surface tab. then apply the SUbsurface Shader Base.
Well I don't really know how to set them so all i did was
SubsurfaceOn-Off set to 1.00
Shading rate 16( Default)
Shading Scale 0.10(default)
Subsurface COlor default 20, 0, 0
Subsurface strength 100%
SSS Material type i leave as Custom. I've tried Milk and SKin but they don't do anything.
That's it.

In UberSurface2 PDF i found out there, they had this.. OMG this is awesome but as you can see in my first picture i get nothing like this.
I also don't know how to set up UberSurface( the free one which comes with DS 4.7 whic is version 0.6 i think) and i couldn't achieve results like that at all.
I've been trying stuff. I Decided to try not even using Uber nor SubSurface Base shader...
All i did is change the Light Model to Skin. and set the Thickness to 1.00
And i used UberEnvironment + Lightsetup
Now it looks much better than the default one.
But i'd still like to know how to use UberSurface or Subsurface Base shader and to see if those make it look even better
Heres my progress. It's looking good. I think the lighting also helps alot.
But also the fact that i never knew it but i changed to Light Model: Set it to Skin. I never knew about this.
The lighting model option has always been there for the default shader, but it gained the new settings you have been using only in 4.7. I'm jot sure why you weren't getting a clearer result with the SSS shader - it usually works OK.
Well update. I got myself UberSurface 2. It's great. I kind of get how to use it alittle.
i'm not perfect but i'm testing it.
BUt i notice some weird lines apply in body parts depending on how close the character is from the camera.
What's this about?
