Help - Moving my User Categories to a new PC

in The Commons
I've just got a new PC and the thought of setting up all my content categories from scratch is terrifying.
Is there a quick way to replicate them on the new DS install?
Luckily all my content is on external drives so at least I don't need to install everything again.

AFAIK you can export cutom metadata using content DB maintenance > export User Data. I think it will export them to the "support" folder in your main content directory.
Then you can copy this file to the "Support" folder in the main content directory on you new machine and reimport metadata there.
(Disclaimer: I never tried it as I don't use smart content)
/Runtime/Support/ rather than just /Support/
You can also, making sure that anything that uses PostgreSQL is closed, make a copy of the ContentCluster folder and move it over to the enw machine, again with PostgreSQL closed. The location you need is given in Edit>Prefrences>CMS Settings.
Thanks both
Hi Again
I've got all my Category structure back... but they are empty.
