One more question: No matter what I change in my lights (currently I am using two spot lights), no lighting changes actually show up in my render.

Which is that by name? There were issues in Catalina - including with the file dialogues - which were fixed in a later version. Drag-and-drop from finder onto the property control may also work.

    Thanks, I will try that.

  • I'm using a couple of Macs.  One runs DAZ Studio 4.12.0.86 and the other Mac has the current version of DAZ Studio (4.15.something.something.)  I don't recall the exact new version number as I updated that Mac from DAZ Studio 4.12.0.86 a couple of days ago.

My primary render Mac is the one with DAZ Studio 4.12.0.86 and is on macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina.)

Anyway, you can open the folder with your HDRI in it via the Finder, then, with DAZ Studio in the background, drag and drop the HDRI file into the Environment Map parameter in the Render (Editor) settings pane.  Works like a charm for me.
