Good Rain Prop for Umbrellas

in The Commons
Would anyone be able to suggest a good rain prop for a scene of one person holding an umbrella over the other, keeping them dry? Most of the rain props I'm seeing tend to be planar based, losing the "dry" feeling for the person under the umbrella

Most of the atmospheric effects for sale tend to be planar-based, like Kindred Art's products, for maximum versatility.
There's always Blender. It has both a particle sim and a fluid sim, and they just added geometry nodes you so can scatter water droplets. You can export your posed Daz scene as an OBJ, create the rain in Blender, and then import the water as an OBJ into your scene.
That's kind of what I was afraid of. I appreciate the responses!
This product has both planes and 3d drops with Iray materials https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/bcs/flinks-rain-3/129341/
This product has two different pretty wide field rain geometries---one heavier, one lighter---that include the entire rain stream as well as droplet impacts. If you're good with geometry editor, then you can carve out a place for your umbrella. Unfortunately, the rain goes straight down. If you want angled rain, you'll have to geometry edit the streams to separate them from the impacts. It can be done.
