Can we save one limb as a preset ?

Can we save an arm lets say ?  I have a storyboard of just an arm pointing at an Oak.

I think it could be useful for example, a close-up of just a foot kicking a face . or just a head held up by a ghost.

thanks .

A Properties preset can affect pose and visibility, if that is what you want. It isn't possible to completely delete some of a loaded model usign a preset (a Character preset can include modified geometry, but only when used to load a new figure).

When you save a pose preset, you get a drop down tree menu. Only select the part you want to save. For instance, if you have a left arm pointing to the tree, then deselect everything except the left collar (and it's children). So no matter what pose you have, you can apply the partial and the left collar/arm will only be affected. Keep in mind though that the orientation of the other body parts will affect the direction a bit

You can do the same when applying a preset saved for all bones, hold down the cmd(Mac)/ctrl(Win) key to get an options dialogue that allows selective application. You can also use that dialogue to save preferred options, which can then be applied (without going through the dialogue)  by holding down shift while applying the preset.

  • Ok thanks everyone. :-)
