All the elements in the universe were formed during or shortly after the big bang. Elements bonded with other elements to make molecules, molecules string together and somewhere down the line, the end product is life.
@Dave: That image actually looks like you used real molecule model parts, photographed them, then photo shopped the image. It has that kind of feel to it. Beautiful work.
These are Wips, experimenting with lighting Eventually I settled on these two but I don’t know which to enter both look the same. The first is Premium render Soft shadows and TA 16Rpp and the second with the same settings but with Boost Light enabled. The render time for both were almost the same 4 ½ hours.
@mermaid010 - both are beautiful. I like the clouds more on the first one because they are more dramatic but the vegetation looks a tad better lit on the second. So it's no easy choice.
Lot's of great stuff here... @horo... Air, Water... It's almost like a photograph...very nice @adbc... Minimalistic Living.. Fabulous. @yellopen...I really liked the 1st one, but I really like the subtleties of the 2nd... @thesavage64... Thank you for this... Neil De Grasse and I love it.
@ Mermaid... Both are beautiful and any differences are very subtle...
Okay ...Here is my second entry...
It's Elementary, My Dear Watson
Violin by hypnagogia (Mark Fowler)
Interior.. Mage Tower
Dr. Watson Genesis 2
Outfit.. Regency Daz
Thanks Horo, Mtnmen, Adbc and Guss; I am re-rendering the 1st render using a low diffuse radial light, with only the foreground trees included in the influence.
I used one of David’s cloudscape from the Cloudscapes 5 for this render. The dolphins are a freebie either from 3D Bar or Archive3D, the trees are from xFrog

I've been playing with this image for several weeks since I first submitted it; I was dissatisfied with both the fog and the foreground colors. Furthermore, I realised that I needed to make the image larger if I wanted some details to show up. When you do fog at night you find yourself trying to balance atmospherics versus detail!
So: this image replaces my original submission.

@theSavage, I like the use of depth of field in your image, and the fire is ever so well done.

@Dave - great idea, nicely done.
