Is there a 10k club?

in The Commons
Well, I don't know who elese has reached this mark but I recently passed over 10,000 items purchased from Daz. Someone's retirement plan is funded due to my purchases. *chuckle* Anyone else out there? Do I get a free thingamawhizzee for it? What abouth a thingamadoodle? Can we compromise and settle for a free doozamawhatzit?

Congratulation here is your round tuit. It is redeemable on any products you have purchased which have not been used in one of your renders.
I am only at 8,200 so you win the race.
Ofcourse, our pleasure. You will be entitled to the gold one on your 50,000th purchase. Good luck.
It is the thing most people plan to have but never seem to.
but what does 10k worth of items cost?? that is the big kicker, LOL
Not to long ago I saw that I spent over 7K on items, so it make me take a step back and I have been watching my spendng, making my own items and doing more with other hobbies. Luckily VR has become my focus more these days.
Shh, not looking at what my 10,000+ items costs ...
i would have been more impressed after the amount of 10.000 renders
Oh my.
And I thought nearing 1K was impressive. <Sigh>
I forget exactly who & how many but there are several over 12K & 13K. I'm at 6392 as of today.
is this in DIM as that varies a lot by install types
mine is over 14K but I have Poser and Carrara formats among others
pages in product library a more accurate yardstick
241 pages in mine for example
Ummmm...how about the 20K club?
There are two clubs you can join. There's the PC+ club, and there's the Season Pass club. :D
No idea how many products I actually have. Don't think I've cracked the 10k mark tho, although I've been buying here since the place was Zygote.
I could qualify for that.
240 pages x 40 suggests I own 9.8K products
and I am a lightweight compared to many
corrected
To estimate products you own, use the number of pages in your product library and multipy by 40 items per page.
Look in your DIM log. After you start or refresh there will be a few lines like this:
2021-07-30 03:43:59.229 Remote Products: 20475
2021-07-30 03:43:59.229 Remote Packages: 27406
2021-07-30 03:57:37.268 Installed Packages: 21593 : 3.2 TB
...and that's down to the millisecond...
I'm even more of a lightweight...been buying since Zygote (over 20 years) and still have just shy of 6000 products. LOL
Funny you should ask!
9.6K
Richard . . . well on my way to the 20K Club!
So many products, so little time (Money).
Then there are the prodcts from other stores. I have as much from Renderosity that I do at DAZ. No wonder my 4 TB HD is filling up, LOL
I will probably join the 20K club this coming PA/PC+ festival ... what does it cost? ehh ... err ... I would rather ask if it has been worth it ... and for myself, I can say yes - the investment in my life and my work has been worth it.
I'm in, 20960. And I know how much it cost thanks to the plugin, though I wish I hadn't looked. Could have bought a Porsche 911.
LOL, makes you wonder if the DAZ CEO is driving one, hmmmmmmmmmm
According to shop (Only Show Owned option from plugin ticked): 13,618 (I don't think removed products are counted here, but bundles and manual installations are)
According DIM Installer: 13,349 (some things need manual installation, and bundles are NOT counted here, only their contents, but removed products are included in this count)
According Product Library: 351 * 40 = ~14,000 (Pretty sure this does include bundles, at least some of them)
Overall, I figure the Product Library is closest to the truth.
Yeah I have a discrepancy too. I have 1,968 items according to the "Owned" in the shop and 2,400 according to the product library calculation. That's over 16 years and, of course, doesn't count Rendo shopping.
it is actually 241 with just short of 40 on the latest page
if we are going to nitpick
(oh I see I forgot the decimal
)
I was only saying DIM is not accurate as the Poser etc formats add lots to it
Only 97 pages with 8 items on the last page = 3,848. Slowing down of recent date. I buy characters now only for the skin texture and delete one that is never or seldom used for each one installed. Load times atrocious enough already.
wow numbers are really off between the various 'audit' options. Started in 2016-04 have 106 pages of orders (22 if I do 50 per page). I just had to buy 2 Crucial x6 (4TB each) and man are they faster than the Samsung SSD 3TB's.
@FSMCDesigns 'How much 10k costs' lol I still spend lots here and here is a screen shot from 2017-12-14 to March 06 The total of that one sheet came to $6,841.96. The best way to see what's spent is to view orders 50 per page, click in the top column where it says order# Ctrl A, Ctrl C open note paid and paste. In notepad delete or ignore the excess junk and copy the columns to a spreadsheet. When finished at the bottom of Order Total columns do a SUM formula, then open a beer to catch stray tears. :)
284 x40 = 11,360 (about to start page 285)
13,847 installed Dim (Daz orders only products - missing last few orders 100 products give or take)
11,360 Owned via shop (28533 of 39308 (but this excludes Discontinued/pulled products from former PA's)
I keep a spread sheets on products/orders and manually download each product to it's own file folder with screen shots for reference. Eg if there are twelve products in a bundle I create twelve folders in the appropriate sub-directories and download the zips/template files etc and shots. A ton of work but worth it, which is why I just outgrew a 3TB drive for manual downloads. I also uncheck install and delete for the DIM dowloads/zips and retain those. So for me I can cheat by looking at spreadsheet or go to a directory for hair and via a search pull up the main screen shot for every hair I own or by generation or gender. I rely on that more than Studio or DIM when I need to hunt down something.
