Copying the title into the body of the post would be quicker than tyuping the title says it all, and more user-friendly.

I just tried in DS 4.15.0.2, using both plain and lit preloads in the environments category, and they loaded and rendered without crashing. They didn't use much system RAM, and should have fitted in any GPU over 4GB by the look of it. What are your system specifications? Was this a crash to desktop or did you get a Daz crash report?

  • Sorry about it, it won't happen again. I'm using a laptop. Ryzen 7 3700U CPU, 12 GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 Graphics. Daz crashed to the desktop. How can I get a crash report?

  • I uninstalled it and reinstalled it using Daz Central and now it loads OK. The problem seems to be only when installing from Daz Studio.

Mine was a Connect (within daz Studio) install, so unlike the issue with the dark Places Alley i don't think it's bad files there.

A crash report will sometimes pop-up after DS closes, with options to save a zip with the log and other data. If it crashed straight to desktop then there is nothing to be done about to geenrate most of that (the log would still be in

    %AppData%/daz 3d/studio4/

but that doesn't have the process data that a successful crash report gives).
