Recommended Anti-Virus Software?

I'd like to know what antivirus software works reasonably well with Daz Studio, or at least can be easily disabled when using Daz. Free is preferred, but all opinions are considered except Bitdefender. Been there, not a good match.
I'm using Win 10 and no additional A/V at the moment. The issue I've been running into is that Daz seems to trigger the anti-malware scan, using up to 20% of the CPU and bogging down renders until I reboot and start a new session. Installing a 3rd party antivirus suite would disable Win Defender and the relentless Antimalware Service Executable that robs me of crucial processing power.
Your input is appreciated.

Malwarebytes. Great at catching bugs and is easily turned off from the system tray. DS has no problem with it.
Avast in conjunction with Yandex (browser) have so far kept my system free of critters that crawl in the night.
I have free Avast as well as Malwarebytes (free versiion) and have been happy with them so far. Free Avast runs continually and I use the free MalwareBytes to run additional periodic scans.
As long as you're not visiting weird sites? Then just Windows Defender with an occasional scan by MalwareBytes, IMO.
I use Win10 Defender (free) and Malwarebytes (which I bought many years ago and got lifetime updates). I don't know if that is enough but I have not changed in years and have avoided nasty infections (although I did take the extra precaution of getting a Covid jab).
I've used the paid version of Malwarebytes alone for years and never had an issue.
I presently use Norton Antivirus. it seems decent.
At work we use Sophos. It is also pretty good.
I preferred Symantec, but it seems to have... Gone enterprise only?
I find I use more than one thing, so in addition to Antivirus, I keep CC Cleaner and Malawarebyte on tap.
Ever since I started using ublock origin, I haven't seen any infections lol. I usually just scan once in a while with malwarebytes just to be sure.
Bitdefender, I haven't run into any issues on Win10 or OSX.
Window10 defender causes me no problems whatsoever.
Years ago I was put off the big commercial AV products (McAfee -Ughh! - and Norton) because they seemed to want to take control of everything. So I would find that I couldn't use an application in the way I expected and, after hours of attempting to diagnose the problem it turned out to be AV. It seems to me that this is the reason the first rule of diagnostics today is "disable any AV software". On the other hand I have never had unexpected results from either Windows Defender nor Malwarebytes so I think I'll stay put.
Microsoft and other software causes far more of a problems for me than my Av software. I am satisfied enough with Norton.
At work (6000 computers) we use Kaspersky, the next time it will probably be Microsoft.
Previously Symantec/Norton and McAfee did some mistakes (delete system files, certificates revoked, ...), they aren't welcome.
Thank you all for your suggestions and opinions. Malwarebytes and avast may be what I ultimately choose.
Yes, that combination works fine, I never have any problems with DS or anything else using these two. Notice though that Malwarebytes (at least the Premium version) likes to disable Windows Defender and take over, you can have them both running for extra security (no AV program is 100% effective) by keeping this setting disabled:
I have tried the big name AV software over the years, and all of them affected the performance of my computers (they're a form of worm themselves). The first time I ran Microsoft AV software, it detected malware the commercial products missed, and it runs without any degradation of system performance. I haven't had any conflicts with DAZ .
I realize that people's experiences with AV can vary based on many factors. I keep Windows updated as well as all of my drivers.
We are all reliant on AV software keeping their databases up to date I use AVG and remember (a long time ago) getting files passed as clean and the next moring, after AVG had updates their definitions, virus infection warnings going off like christmas lights. Had to reformat my HD. Thankfully is seems that the AV people are getting better than the bad people.... haven't had any problems for years.... knock on wood.
I use the free versions of Avira and Malwarebytes. I am regularly tempted to upgrade to the paid version of Malwarebytes.
Choice or avoidance of an A/V system is a religious matter but I am firmly in the church of Norton. I wait for sales at NewEgg and get a 5-license copy of Norton360 Deluxe for $25 or $30. Brings the yearly cost down to $5 or $6 per computer. It's actually more features than I need but the price is right and the A/V part of it has kept me safe and rebuffed the bullies for decades despite my periodic wanders into dark territory. I like the password manager it has too, and use both the A/V and password manager on my Android phone as well.
I also keep a copy of free MalwareBytes on each machine to run manually once in a while as a 2nd-opinion and sanity check.
