https://news.slashdot.org/story/21/08/04/210220/miami-launches-miamicoin-cryptocurrency
A Florida man employed as the Mayor of Miami has launched the cities very own crytptocoin ".. to allow city citizens to earn Bitcoin "in their sleep." "
Just in case someone doesn't get the "Florida man" reference just type florida man into any search engine(google, duckduckgo, bing).

I'm trying to decide if the naked one humping the tree or the one that got beat-up by the Easter bunny was the best.
I wonder if Florida will have rolling brownouts, theft of electrical services, and all the other problems that come with industrial scale crypto mining.
At least the drug dealers will have an easier time laundering their money in Florida now.

I'm launching an invisible cryptocoin coin system tomorrow...
My patented, award winning InVisoKoin™ is mined using wishes and good intentions in your actual dreams and is therefore 110,000% environmentally friendly and has even been clinically proven to reverse aging in laboratory hippopotamuses.
You don't even need to own a computer, know math, fill out complicated forms, or spell your name correctly... all you have to do is figure out (or guess) how much InVisoKoin™ you have mined while actually sleeping and when you wake up, you then write out that sum on paper or something and mail me $50 in cash for every $10,000 you mined, and $100 for every $200,000 up to $168,300,060 and I'll send you a box filled with ultra invisible InVisoKoin™ vouchers which you can redeem anywhere InVisoKoin™ is accepted, which is usually super posh exclusive high end clothing stores and Lamborghini, yacht or mansion dealerships.
Don't be alarmed if you get thrown out of these businesses a couple of times at first, generally they will just be doing this to ensure only the most dedicated InVisoKoin™ miners are their loyal customers and to weed out impostors who are trying to pass off fake InVisoKoin™ vouchers made of air.
I'll shortly make the mailing address public so you can begin mailing me your unmarked bills in $10 and $20 denominations.
I want to stress that I'm not doing this because I want to get rich, but because I want everyone to feel rich, and because I want everyone to feel like they'll have as much money as I will... Sharing is caring and true caring is caring to share your share with care, so share a share of your share and you'll get your share of all the care... That's my motto... it's deep, but it's true... in fact it's so true people will tell you it's a lie because it's truth is so unstoppable it's too scary to believe if you are unwilling to believe or think about stuff too much.
That's the real beauty of InVisoKoin™... its not about thinking or using your brain or even having a brain... it's about doing what you want and not taking guff from people who tell you "it can't be done"... You do it, you make it and you set the rules and you reap the rewards because you are special and always right... Screw those who tell you that you are wrong... these are the same people always going on about stuff being against the laws of physics or being poisonous, so what do they know... your bad decisions haven't killed you yet, so as wise men say- "if something doesn't kill you, it wasn't trying hard enough" and if fate is too lazy to have killed you so far, it's too lazy to be concerned with and that makes you invincible.
So start dreaming up those InVisoKoins™ and get your crayons sharpened, your unmarked bills in hand and get ready to convert your dream coins into cold hard invisible vouchers you can eventually redeem if you are persistent enough and not afraid to get tossed out of a couple of stores or possibly face a little jail time.
InVisoKoin™... grab the future by the short hairs now, before it grabs you by yours!
McGyver, your InVisaKoin™ won't work for me, because of your unreasonable requirement of having good intentions in our dreams. I am also not sure I want the world to be overrun with baby hippopotamuses.
An important question, if we mine a negative number of InVisaKoin™, will you send us money? Or just baby hippopotamuses?
Sorry, but InVisoKoin™only works with positive numbers so negative numbers negate the mining process... Theoretically, while it might be possible to "anti-mine" coins in a reverse universe, negative mining creates a flat zero balance and as mathematician and songwriter Billy Preston proved in his toe tapping 1974 dissertation... "Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin', You gotta have somethin' if you want earn koin from me... cause that minus is to low to see"... proving that mathematically negative numbers don't exist and therefore make it impossible to create a reverse cash flow in this universe.
On the other hand, InVisaKoin™ which has nothing to do with InVisoKoin™ may support negative numbers and reverse cash flow... My patented InVisoKoin™is only technically invisible because it exists strictly in the mind and makes no claims of actual invisibility (it's actually "invisoble", hence the "inviso" part of InVisoKoin™)... Were it actually "invisible", it would be physically present and only unaffected by photons, but still subject to laws of non-Pestonian mathematics and probably capable of generating negative numbers or reverse cash flow.
Its very bleeding edge math, and might sound ridiculous at first, but a group of highly respected, totally not made up scientists have confirmed all this, so it's absolutely mostly irrefutable.
Preston's 1st law of bitcoin nullification. also the 5th Beatle.
Dang.
Well, the MiamiCoin experiment seems to have failed.

It's lost 95% of it's value.Now worth $0.0032
In the crypto world a 95% drop in value is considered a "temporary setback"... You are supposed to "Hold On for Dear Life" no matter what... it doesn't matter if your coin has dropped into negative values, you hold on to it or you don't have what it takes to be a billionaire... of course the billionaires are usually the first ones to cash out early in these situations.
$MIA = Dollars Missing in Action
cryptocurrency made sense as it's original usage, a way to buy things anonomously on the web, using it as an investment opportunity never did to me.
People needed an untraceable way to fund things, purchase stuff etc for various reasons not all nefarious just like the TOR browser was set up for good reasons that could get political if I elaborate too much, the Silk Road was more a case of the unscrupulous using it to their advantage, the Deep Web itself is just a lot of nonindexed boring crap which the criminal element found was a good place to hide in much like slipping a paper in a random book in a library.
The one good thing is speculating on crypto and making it a volitile thing has likely forced the previous corrupt users to find other more transparent ways to pay for their contraband, human trafficking and firearms
There's a huge difference between the Deep Web and the Dark Web. The Deep Web is basically anything accessible with a browser that is locked behind a passworded log-in and therefore invisible to search engines, the vast majority of which serves legitimate purposes. Daz's PASS is an example of a Deep Web application, as are Daz's ticket system and our product libraries.
The Dark Web is the stuff accessible using TOR, which somebody doesn't want some authority not to know too much about, most of which also has additional safeguards.
