PROPS Constantly go missing

HALP!

I'm seemingly in a constant loop battle saving props to a custom menu set.

I absolutely detest how Daz structures content - it's the most conflated, abstract, and downright infuriating file tree I've ever used in any program....BUT, is it critical to save props inside the pre-designated PROPS folder inside my daz library? Is that path critical to prevent my props dissapearing everytime I boot up the program?

It's becomming such a daily grind, that in order to save my custom content in any managebale way, I have to save scenes and sub scenes. Saving things as props is pointless at this point....

  • What do you mean? Are you trying to add something to a menu, or do you mean you are saving to a custom folder? Where is the folder if that is the case, and what are your content directories? What do you mean by saving as a prop - that isn't one of the standard preset types? If you are saving an asset (File>Save As>Support Assets>Figure/Prop Asset) then what is failing the enxt time - no preset for loading it, or is the preset there but failing to load the asset?

I'm thinking the op is importing .obj or other file type and not saving as an asset first?

Or perhaps trying to save to the Daz Connect folder structure. Daz Studio won't load user saved files in the Daz Connect folders (at least the last time I tried that).

Or perhaps saving to a library folder that is not mapped in the Content Directory Manager.

To help, we need more details about exactly where you are trying to save the props and how you are saving them (what menu selection are you using to save them).
