Does it work without the band?

Not will it work without, but has it be made to also work without the band?

@nicstt, I loaded the hair without a character, and it and the hairband load as two separate items. I closed the eye of the hairband and the hair seems okay. If you like I can load a character (takes about 10 minutes for me) and then the hair and test it fully.

I appreciate what you've done; if you get around to it then I'd be interested but 10 minutes to load a character sucks.

I went ahead, loaded Coral and an outfit, and the hair and removed the band. I found that where it was, there was a distinct area that looked like a part, where the bangs are combed forward and the rest of the hair are combed back and to the sides. So a simulation is running and I will render as soon as it is done.

So here is the hair in a pose from the poses that came out with the outfit I picked. The part is not that bad and looks like it is real. I also noticed that the ears are nicely exposed, which if you want a hair for an elvin character this would be a winner. I also lengthened the hair as far as it would go. I would prefer more options for materials for the headband honestly to allow the hair to be more versatile, but it can be used without it.
