Need help editing Face Groups...

I have this top that I imported from an OBJ. I had to adjust weight maps so it didn't grab the waist when I pulled the arms. But I notice that under Geometry editor the shoulder was still part of the waist is there any way to unselect the waist from the shoulder in Geometry editor Face Groups?

Comments

  • The groups have no direct bearing on weights, though they can of course be very useful in making selections and if you want to be able to select the bones in the Viewport you need helpful Selection groups assigned (but that isn't usually an issue with fitted items using the standard bones from the base figure).
