It's awesome to have Daz3D 4.7 32 bit on Ubuntu 14.10. But, I experience a noticable slow down in the studio, when I load a figure(even a base) and try to navigate using pan, rotate etc. Most probably it freezes. But, I got to work with Daz3D 4.6 64 bit on W*dows. Could it be a problem of 32bit vs 64bit. But, the thing, I've installed Daz3D by getting help from a tutorial and in it, I've found, the person who posted it had no problem. Couldn't contact him. But, what could be the problem. Still found no IntelHD 3000 graphics driver for Ubuntu 14.10. Can that be the cause ? Please answer and explain how to get it working. All others in Daz3D except the Graphics performance works well on Ubuntu, using playonlinux and wine. Thanks.

Studio generally does not like internal video cards sharing RAM with the system, it sounds like either a driver problem or a limitation of Ubuntu. Studio is not supported in Unix/Linux but I'd look there.

I have a similar setup. You need to find a proper graphics driver for Linux, otherwise it won't work properly. You may want to take a look at this https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads

Thanks for the replies. But, I don't find any driver for Ubuntu 14.10 64bit which is my OS, on https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads. What to do ? I saw that the intel driver for Ubuntu 14.10 would be released on 2014 Dec. or somewhere like it. But, not even in 2015 Jan ? What to do ? I have no problem with other things, like desktop performance, file opening etc., but don't know whether they also can work better ! Please tell me, what to do

You could try going to Preferences in DAZ Studio (F2 key) > Interface, make sure Per-Pixel Shading is Off, slide Texture Resources to the left (Performance), and try different options for Display Optimization (try None if it's currently set to Best).

OK OK OK ! Got it corrected. I wonder if it is the opposite of what you told using F2 ! I just set Display Optimization to Best and that was it. Thanks for your help ! [SOLVED]

Great! You never know which graphics cards/drivers will work better at None, Better, or Best, I'm glad you found settings that work.
