Another thing to consider: IIRC, the movie "Event Horison" had space-ship interiors that were designed more or less after the architectural style of Medieval church interiors, but done in metal and parts of it changed to be more sci-fi like, such as making some of the wall-blocks into cabinet doors or something of the sort.
There's no rule for this in science fiction. Whatever you as the author consider the best. In some scifi settings capital ships can't even fly in the atmosphere, in others you can land an Imperial Star destroyer if there's enough space for one to park.
I’ve not seen the movie, but your description made me think if this product: https://www.daz3d.com/religious-futures

Castle as in fortress or castle as in palace? There's some difference.
The first is built for function, with walls for protection and towers for surveilance/recon and defense placements. Seperate buildings are placed close together, often even connected. If the setting allows for it, I'd even try to include some kind of forcefield bubble around it.
The second is built for aesthetics, the perimeter wall is more for privacy and to denote boundaries than for protection, so it would be much lower and moved further from the main buildings (the further away, the bigger the private domain, to emphasize wealth). The buildings would have more windows and small balconies with waist-height railing instead of chest-height fences, Towers are shaped to express a design language, instead of for protection, and might even have their view blocked by other buildings/towers.
For a single tower, I'd even consider using one of the greeble skyscrapers from the store. Placed in a clearing in a forest, it would look totally different. Maybe have a road circle around it with a low fence. Most of the greeble buidlings in store are for 3delight though, but shouldn't be too hard to change textures, or make your own. Maybe even add some neon lights here and there.

Bethany 7 added for the scale comparison.
