Twitchy figures

When you use the the Rotate Tool (the red, green, and blue hoops around a joint) to adjust a joint, whenever I hit the limit in one dimension, the other dimensions start to wiggle and wobble uncontrollably. How can this be prevented from happening?

For those who didn't understand what I mean: Load any your figures, select its head, activate the Rotate Tool, and try to tilt the head all the way down with it. Say, you choose the red hoop (up/down). Look what happens when you try to rotate it to its limit. It's like your character is having a seizure!

Admittedly, this only happens with the Rotate Tool, and not with the sliders, so you could just say: "Then use the sliders." But I'd much rather use the Rotate Tool...

    What OS, and what figure?

It is not happening for me on Win 7, Genesis or Genesis 2.

    I've edited the thread title.

Yes, I get this - as you say once the rotation has run out of range then other rotations start to change. I'm not aware of a way to stop it, other than not going beyond the limit on the rotation, though you might try using one of the other axis options in Tool Settings (though then you risk getting gimbal lock, when two axes end up on top of each other and you can't rotate at all in one direction, which is I think what the behaviour is designed to help with)..
