Hello, I have searched on the forumn for info on how to save what i am working on and than when i reload all will be ready to continue editing. But has not worked out for me saving as scene subset or character preset it fails to load where i left it to continue editing. Is there any way I can save all my work to be able to load all back and continue editing, like i have face transfer, hair strands, 2 different bodys etc. Thank you

Save as scene is what I do.
Yes i have tried saving as scene but when i load back in it does not keep everything the same, oh well just crashed so i got to keep on starting from the beginning, not much i can do. thanks
We need to know more about how are you doing things, as saving a scene, closing and continuing from where you left, are normal procedures that seldom cause any problems.
You are the only one that has access to your computer. We only know what you tell us.
I bet you are looking at perspective view and moving that around. Then when you reload it defaults to perspective default. Try using a camera.
Yes maybe not explaining this very good sorry, you see i am using a body of a bear without the head and attaching a G8 male head with Face transfer on it, also am using Hairstrand on bear body and hiding the geometry of head, and hiding geometry of G8 male body from neck down. plus i have imported a necklace and crown, when i save all this work, and later reload it all that loads is the G8 male head with the Face transfer on it but the bear body and hairstrand is not loaded. thanks for helping. now what iam doing is render all the poses i need and if i have to do everything again its ok i am getting quicker at it. i just thought there must be a way or maybe Daz dont like mixing characters and chopping parts off. again thank you
How do you hide the geometry?
Which bear?
Since you mentioned hair strands and hiding geometry: dForce and strand-based hair won't show when you have the geometry editor tool selected (same joint editor tool or mesh grabber).
and hiding geometry with the Geometry Editor does not get saved - I advise setting the area to be hidden to a new group, then using the Joint editor to add a new bone and in the Tool Settings pane set the new group as the bones selection group: that way hiding the bone hides the geometry, and that will be remembered in the save file.
Yes thanks I will try that last comment, yes i have been hiding the geometry with the Geometry editor, now i will try as you recommened , saving as a new group and using the joint editor to add a new bone etc.. thanks
Yes geometry editor hiding doesn't save, your best to actually modify the mesh in hexagon or modify it in something like blender if you want a perminant version.
Keep in mind some LIE scripts create new texture images in your temporary folder, and that doesn't always get reapplied. It's best to copy any of those files out of the temp folder to a more perminant location and reapply the maps to the shader for further editing of a scene.
