How Come? How Come Daz offers something which it does not deliver am surprised? 

I have purchased multiple Z and dForce assets which,  advertized, say they will work with Genesis8 8 - and they not only don't,- they deny ever being able to work wikth Genesis 8. What's up with that?

How Come? How come does Daz Studio offer sometring which is said to be what iit is, yet never is, am I surprized  by the result?

Am I missing something - I don't want to seem an asshole here.

I have used multiple of these assets which I mention, and yet have been denied usage of them as not beng of Daz Male or Female 8 when  such assets were advertized as being set for such.

How come you are not telling us what you are talking about? With you withholding information we can only conclude this is the result of user error. The products work but you do not know how to use them.

Are they perhaps items for Genesis 8.1?

Sorry I did not get back to this sooner. What I mean is that the dForce and Z products are advertized to work with Genesis 8 figures (many say Genesis 3 and 8), yet when I try to add the effects and/or props to the scenes I am working on, I get an error message which says the asset is not able to be used for the scene (I have the appropriate Genesis 8 figure selected at the time).

I am sure there is user error here, as these assets do work sometimes, but too often I get the error message; I also get another error message at times which just says it is an error, and see log file (not really sure where the log files are - in users-public-documents-Daz-Studio?).

I'm sorry I can't be more clear here - I really don't know why these assets won't work when the appropriate figures are selected.

What is the exact error message?  Deforce requires Open CL 1.2 (I think), is your computer capable of that?

The log file can be reached via Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File. That generic message most often happens when a preset is applied with no selection in the scene. As for the other erors, next time it happens please take a screenshot showing the error and (in a second shot if necessary) showing which file you used and what was selected in the scene. (if the figure is nude switch the Viewport to Smooth Shaded drawstyle.)

I have an Alienware Aurora R!2 with an Intel I5 Fifth Gen and an Nvidia GPU with 6gb. Pretty sure it has the latest update to whatever the lastest CL is, but I don't know how to check that software package. I'm more computer illiterate than literate, or just enough literate to be dangerous to myself and others. 

I'll be checking for error messages and the other things you all have mentioned (although sometimes the error messages pop up and go away before I can even read them).

Will do. Sometimes the products/assets do not show any error message, they just don't load with the figure (almost always use Genesis 8.0 figures) I have selected. Sometimes the error messages pop up and go away before I can read them. I use Daz Studio 4.15 only (I have Poser 11, but no products to speak of for it).
