Scaling a jacket - !! Ignore this Silly Post !!

I was trying to scale the jacket from the Prince Charles Outfit to a Genesis male figure. I scaled the body and found that the jacket automatically translated upward. Deciding that it was after all the size I wanted, I exported the revised jacket as an OBJ. When I imported it, I found that the translation/rotation tools simply did not work. The tool moved, but the jacket remained rigidly where it was. Has anyone any ideas?
