How Do I Get Genesis 8.1 Male & Female?

I thought if I downloaded the current version of DS the Genesis 8.1 base figures would come with it but apparently not? I cannot find them anywhere.
How do I aquire them?

They're in the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials package; you will also need to update that.
Yup. Did that already but I see no Genesis 8.1 Female or Genesis 8.1 Male. I still have only the Genesis 8 Female and Genesis 8 Male icons.
It's the same icons, it just has suppoirt for 8.1 included now, just reinstall the 8 essentials

Do you know where to find the Genesis 8.1 Male Genitalia for Female.duf that was supposed to come with Coral 8.1?
It doesn't come with Coral 8.1 itself (the character), genitalia are only included with bundles. So... the 'Seas the day' or Mega bundle.
If you have that installed you should be able to find it easily within the smart content pane; check the anatomy section.

Hmmmm. I have the Seas the Day bundle and I checked the details. You are correct. It says it comes with both genitals but I do not find the male genital for G8.1 Female anywhere.
Okay everbody. I solved this. One of you told me to uninstall and reinstall the essentials. That fixed some issues. Files I did not see before were suddenly there. In fact, I now have icons for Genesis 8.1 female too.But the male gens for Genesis 8.1 female was still missing. So, I found the product in my purchases and uninstalled and reinstall it and they are there now.

So.. I've been trying for a while. Scoured the net. Nothing. I've done everything that everyone said, incuding what the OP did on this thread that worked for them. Nothing. I've also tried to find a download of any kind on my own to get the 8.1 figures directly. Is there any way I can just throw money at this problem? Like pay for an 8.1 figure that comes bundled with the base software files? It seems like I am just not allowed to have the 8.1s..
Genesis 8 starter essentials are available in your "product library" section of the site, like all the items you purchased: https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_42071
You may need to delete the "Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials" and the "Genesis 8 Male Starter Essentials" packages in DIM to force it to download the new one with the 8.1 characters.
The base 8.1 characters are free and are included in those packages.
If I recall correctly, many of us also had to do this with the "Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.15+" package aswell.
Here's the short version of what you need to do in order.
Delete old starter essentials packages
Uninstall starter essentials packages
Download new starter essentials packages
Install new starter essentials packages
Hey. Look at that! I finally got notified of a response to one of my threads. I normally never get a notice. You must have the magic touch IceCrMn!
Anyway ... YES. That is what I had to do. Go into the DIM Installed tab and un-install them and they then instantly became available for download at which time I re-installed them and I was good.

Hey, thanks guys. :) So, I uninstalled and reinstalled. Everything. The only thing I use Windows for anymore is this and photoshop. So I just wiped my windows drive (filled it with random, the works just to be sure - I was that frustrated). After all that - still nothing. I saw one folder with 8.1 in the name. But nothing was in it. I threw my hands up and said f*** it. Stepped away for a while and came back. Thought 'oh well G8 was pretty good, no real need to upgrade anything. Not even looking for it - there it was. A new entry in my library. Genesis 8.1 Female. Wasn't there before. I did nothing different or extra. It literally appeared out of nowhere.
I think the final secret to gaining access to the 8.1 figure is to compeltely give up on it. Come to a place of acceptance that you will never get it and you are powerless to do anything to change that. Once you're at inner peace on the matter and no longer care - it will appear. Lol.
LOL, DAZ Studio breaking us users the way one would break a horse.
