DAZ3DIM_1.4.0.80_Mac64
Hi
I just got an email saying a Daz beta was back on the mac for Big Sur, I followed the link since I am subscribed to newsletters and downloaded the DAZ3DIM_1.4.0.80_Mac64.zip, but System Prefs>Security saying not a recognised developer. I know I can simply click Open Anyway but there's no harm in verifying here that it is a bonafide Daz update. I ask because things are not very clear, the only news I have of this are from an email (we know that's open to abuse) and a couple of not so clear posts here. Back on the mac is huge news a lot of us have been waiting half a year for, should it not be spelled out very clearly on your front pages even if it is a beta? So yes, can we go ahead and install DAZ3DIM_1.4.0.80_Mac64.zip? Thank you.

The lack of signing on Windows is a known issue, certainly. As I thought, it does not affect Macs so I am not sure why you are getting this message.
If you're unsure of the validity for DIM, you can get it from here:

For what it's worth, I've downloaded the updated DIM and installed it on an Intel and an m1 Mac and used it to download and install the beta on both machines, both open and run but there is a known issue (see the log) where loading some items (script/shader related?) cause it to crash. I have opened and rendered some character shots and an animation successfully, though. Eagerly awaitng the next beta update.

I had the same issue with the install of the downloaded version to the point where BigSur refused to run the application, insisting that I did not have permission (I did.) Installing via DIM solved that problem. (For clarity, I had to grant permission for the install, which it did. Following that when I tried to run the app I received the prompt that I did not have permission and should contact my administrator. The app had full read/right permissions for all user accounts.)
