Eyes scale morphs

Is there any morphs for scaling the eyes individually? My Lara morphs usually have warped eyes as I mixed many morphs when making them, I always have to move they eyes individually, and the eyes looks to be different sizes when I give her an expression, it's more noticable then. It bothers me so much, can't stand it, please, if anyone knows of such individually eyes scale morphs let me know,  I would very much appreciate it smileyheart. Would be such a relief to not have to see this in every render.

Edit: Would be so amazing if there is such a morph set, to correct the bug that is visible w her eyes being slightly different in size, if anyone knows of such morphs I would be very grateful smileyheart. Like right eye scale, and left eye scale.

hi, have not run across any morphs that scale the eyeballs and eyesocket around it at same time..individually.  Xcept course poses, like eye widen-squint etc.  But not sure they are right enough for what you want.

But Yes for both at same time with eye size and I think base G8 morphs (look char>head>face>real world>eyes and search for *size*

If was in your boots, would have that, put 2 figures in scene, and 1 you change both eyes with that morph, keep other fig as an orig size ref,  use vert editor to create an eye selection for verts that has issue, then export that character to Hexagon, and then in DAZ  set back changed figure back to default in DAZ and THEN send back to DAZ and use morphloader and then attenuate by that vertex selection you made.  Safest is to do in t-pose.  You would then have when you are happy with it, an eye morph that is always there for your character when you save it.

PS.  Lara Croft is awesome. heart

You can use this to isolate the eye scale morph on each eye and make dials for them.

I have used it to make dials for just the mouth area of a  head morph, then I dial that to -100 and boom! I have a head morph without the morph's mouth region affecting things. You could use it to give someone Ollie's nose without giving them the rest of Ollie's face. And in the promos it shows different sized eyes.

It comes with lots of ways to isolate areas, from planes that you can use to split the morph/figure in half, to preset regions, or you can just select areas with the geometry editor, though I have never used that last part. It's kind of pricey but well worth it, especially if you can get it on sale. You should definitely read the included pdf before getting started, so that all the dials and settings make sense.

keep forgetting about shapesplitter.  haven't used it yet myself.  prefer the control/speed of Hex/Daz bridge for most custom solutions.  but shapesplitter sounds like it might give result tombraider4ever is looking for? morphing eye with all the other eyelid/brows etc and their vertices to make it look right may be tricky on her figure or not.

  • Thank you both so much for the replies! smileyheartThe first way, w hexagon is too difficult for me, but the second sounds good. Is the shape splitter hard to use? I have used Daz for years but a lot of it is still a mysterie for me. Can I isolate the eyes on my Lara and make a morph for that, and then dial it out on my Lara, giving her G8f base eyes? or make a right/left eye scale morph from a morph pack I have? or both? how hard is that, do I have to be an expert on Daz? the option of giving her G8f base eyes would be best, too hopefully get rid of the eyes posing bug for good angry, I hate having to pose the eyes individually, it's so hard sad.

You could also make your own correction morph, I did one for permanently crossed eyes.

I opened the "Eyes Crossed" in Notepad++ and studied what it did, made my own and placed it with my other morphs and now I have Crossed Eyes that don't get zeroed when zeroing the character pose.

edit: misread the topic. I uploaded morphs for scaling the actual eye and not including the surrounding eyelids.

simplest way is to use shape splitter. But here is another method. I'd upload the morph but I can't because its part of a sold pack.

    1. dial up eyes scale morph

    2. export to obj on base resolution

    3. use geometry editor to select the part of the head you want to morph and save as a selection set

    4. use morph loader to import back with attenuate option -> select the selection set

you may need to re-rig by applying "adjust rigging to shape" if the eyes don't rotate correctly.

  • Thank you both so much for the help w this, it means a lot to me! smileyheart The first advice sounds a bit difficult and above my skill level, so study the morph in notepad. The second sounds difficult too, but perhaps I can try that. How do I export just that eye morph to obj? won't it be the entire G8.1 base?If it's possible to write the instructions more detalied it would be great heart. I work so hard on my art, it's my biggest passion in life, and what I was born to do, but I can't do anything about the eye bug, the scale issue and the posing issue. To pose the eyes individually is so incredibly difficult. Different values on the eyes. What is normal and what is an eye dissorder?  no matter how good I do that posing, I still have the different eye size sad. I am not skilled enough in ph shop to resize one of the eyes, she would end up looking like an alien lol.

Shape splitter is easy to use if you read the PDF. But if you just load the script and start pushing buttons, it will be an uphill battle. You can isolate any part of any morph, as far as I know. For what you want, you could use the region method to isolate the eyes part of the lara morph and generate a dial for just that. Then split the lara eye morph into two using the plane method that shape splitter offers. Alternatively, and more easily, just use the plane method to split the generic eye size morph (from the daz standard morphs) into two so that the new dial only affects half the face. Easy peasy.

Not sure this would help....but there is a morph for Genesis 8 Female by j.cade, which allows Sakura to use the default G8F eyes, but also allows the Simple Eyes, which is part of Eyeballs for Sakura 8 (that I sell on Rendo) to work much smoother.  I am not sure the "magic" he did on that, but I wonder if you dial it in, if it would help?  Its a few DSF files, so you could try it, dial it in, and if no help, then delete.  It's about the 3rd freebie down on my site he approved me to host.  (a shot in the dark cheeky )

  • Thank you both so much for the replies, for trying to help! heartsmiley  I put the shape splitter in my wishlist smiley. 3dOutlaw , I tried to download the morph but it didn't work, can't see it in downloaded files.
