How To Make The Finish On This Car Shine

I'm not asking about polishing techniques, lol!

I recently purchased this Llamaghini Gallopngo from DAZ (SKU:17129), and downloaded it through DIM. When I load the car (after digging for it in the Product List), and select a color, it renders in a dull finish. My question is, how do I get the chrome-like finish in the promo images?

I suspect it has something to do with the Surfaces Pane. I have tried a number of the choices there, but none seem to work.Obviously, I'm missing something. When the cursor hovers over a material icon on the left of the screen, both a .mc6 and a .duf file extension are shown.

This is the first time I've had an issue like this wtih a vehicle purchased from DAZ.

Go to TOOLS then surface selection. Now select the body or any other part you want to edit. then in the surfaces pane (windows - panes - surfaces) you will have all the settings for that surface. If the car is older and doesn't have iray materials, that would explain the matte finish. If that is the case, then apply the uber iray setting that comes with DS and then tweak the reflectivity

You could also just d/l this car finish addon and then apply one of them using the surface selector tool https://sharecg.com/v/86473/related/21/DAZ-Studio/DAZ-Studio-*IRAY*-Car-Paint-2

Thanks FSMCDesigns! I ended up downloading the car finishes, and now I can finally use this model in my renders!

This product has been difficult to use. The only files included with the product are Runtime files. I can only access it from the Product List, which is cumbersome. My other DAZ cars are a breeze to use, and now I have more finishes to render them in. Thanks!

Rumtime files means it was a poser item and not one made for Daz Studio, that would also explain the matte finish since poser materials are very different from DS ones. Glad you got it working
