Layered Image Question

Sometimes when I use an L.I.E. it looks great...other times it just looks like an opaque mask and the skin shows through...I know I have seen a similar question here but I cannot find it. What settings to you change to make it darker in DS 4.12 or 4.15? This happens with both preset click and apply and also when I have to manually add one.

Your question is missing some crucial info. Is it the same LIE looking different on different figures? Or different LIEs looking different on the same figure?

Regardless, you probably want the LIE Editor. Right-click the texture's thumbnail in the Surfaces tab to open it. There, you can change the alpha, blend mode, etc.

Some LIE presets only apply the changes (tattoos, makeups, etc) to the Diffuse Map. If the character has high translucency values, then it will cause the design to look faded. You will need to...

    1. Manually add the LIE design to the Translucency Map or
    2. Lower the translucency settings of the skin.

I think this is what I was looking for. I knew there was a setting that probably needed changed in Surfaces. Thank you!
