Copy A Figure in Daz Studio 4.15

I was wondering how to copy a figure in Daz Studio 4.15 - I searched and found a discussion thread from 2013, but it was unclear to me if, since version 4.05, things have changed; to be honest, I really didn't know what to make of the instructions from that discussion. This comment seemed the most relevant, yet I was unable to comprehend how to add/insert the new figure into the current scene (Please see Attached PNG).

Edit/Duplicate/Duplicate Node(s). Or Edit/Duplicate Node Hierarchies, if you want to also duplicate all parented hair, clothing, accessories, etc. Instead, you can create a new node instance if you want an unchangeable copy.

I did what you suggested - Edit/Duplicate Node Hiearchies - and I do not see a new figure in the scene; however, using "create a new node instance/copy selected item" did create an exact copy.

    Thank you very much. :)

  • By default the duplicate appears on top of the original, it should be possible to move it with the Viewport Gizmo assuming you had the base figure selected (if not, select through the Scene pane).

I found out, through a bit of trial and error, what you said; nevertheless, I will no doubt come back to this particular thread again...and again...and again.

    Thank you so much! :)
