OT: RIP Tom T. Hall

I remember him performing at our local annual Dare Days celebration. He was one of the few celebraties who after finishing his performance came down off stage and actually socialized with the crowd.

Hope in that place "so sublime" the rivers still taste just like beer and never be turned into wine.
I remember he came to the hotel restaurant I worked at as a busboy for the 1984 Kentucky Derby (or maybe '83). I still have the mint julep glass either he left behind or one of Cheech & Chong (I think Cheech, both weren't there), left behind. I forget as they were there the same day I think. I had both glasses but lost one. The waitresses usually took the glasses, well the ones the customers actually left behind. They both were very nice and Cheech & Chong both are still around and well somewhere. However, I was unaware Tom T Hall wrote Harper Valley PTA until I read it this week. I only knew who they were because the waitresses told me.
