One-Shoulder Cape?

Has anybody happened across a one-shoulder cape? Or a cape that can be worn off one shoulder? I'm looking for something like this -

There is an Aramis/Musketeer outfit in the store but the cape is not what I'm looking for. I specifically want something that can be worn off one shoulder, or like a one-shoulder shawl...something that would work for moderately dressy medieval fantasy...so like no viking furs or any of that stuff.

There's this...but the hood doesn't go down (*sigh*) and once you remove it via geometry editor, there's really nothing left to the cape - https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-shrouded-assassin-outfit-for-genesis-8-males

Something like this could work but the quality is.... :/

  • Maybe? https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-matador-outfit-for-genesis-8-males The main promo shows it off to the side.

I think I'm giving up on this one, lol. She has long hair and once I add her hair, I might not feel the need to have something like a cape.

  • No capes!

If I really had to, I'd magnetize a dForce planar cloth thing to the shoulder.

yeah but there's more to a shoulder cape than just a magnetized square of cloth. Seams, stitching, and the strap that goes under the opposite arm, which in turn would effect the drape of the clothing beneath it.

There is a dForce Matador outfit in the store. One of the promos show it draped over one shoulder.  It's longer though, and doesn't have the split for the arm.

You aren't going to find anything like that photograph, but there are enough of those stupid one-shoulder armor thingies with the strap across the ribcage to possibly kitbash it. Maybe turn the shoulder part invisible and drape the fabric over where it is on the model?

How close is the camera going to be?

I'm not entirely sure how close the camera will be, but it won't be super distant. I ended up deciding that a cape wasn't needed anyways. Here's the outfit I put together for her...

It's kind of a long story for her...she's my 'The Lord of the Rings Online' main character, a Rohirrim shield maiden, but she ends up falling in love with a Corsair from Umbar (friendly quest-giving NPC in the game)...so I figured it was time to give her some pirate-ish kitbashing, lol.

She looks great :) Could you do some editing in PS with a full cape just erase out the part you don't want behind her head/hair (one render with cape, one without and fix in PS) ?

I'm not really into doing that sort of editing as it will throw off lighting and can lead to that "something's off" look. But in her case, I think a cape might actually be excessive. The scene is going to be an open-air market and she's going to be browsing wares with her beau.

    That's a great point. Happy rendering. :)

and possibly the better one (left)

By WhopNkar called GothicCape, but I can't find a link to it when I search.
