Sera 8.1 by Mousso

Can anyone tell me what the hair being used in the promo picture for Sera 8.1 is, please? It's gorgeous.

Ditto, I'm searching for it too.

I presume you mean this one...

Didn't want to say the exact name. Wasn't sure of forum regs about mentioning rival stores.

You can mention the name and the store, but not link to it.

If you are the one bringing up a product from a rival store, I believe the rule is not to link it. I also think you would have to refrain from trying to plug things from other places. But if someone else asks what an item is, or where it's from, then you are allowed to link to it as a response.

    That is correct

the character is really nice. I started to shy away from Mousso products becasue of their similarities, but Sera is beautiful.

OK, having had the clarification that no link is permitted, but the store and product name may be stated.. could someone please actually state it? The hair looks amazing. Regards, Richard.

    Yes!

Mousso's characters are always lovely, but as with most PA's the faces blend together after a while. She hasn't released anything recently that would really add something new to my library. Sera grabbed my attention right away, though! Absolutely stunning.

    Terrific character.

What an astouding character. I was also shying away from Mousso because of how similar their characters started to look. This is absolutely a step in the right direction!

I totally agree. Sera is a great change of from the usual Mousso female. She is stunning, unique, and has the quality Mousso brings to characters. Instant buy for me!

Only if one thinks of G8.1 as "the right direction". Luckily there's still a lot of older Mousso figures that I haven't bought yet, so I don't even have to think about spending on G8.1 ones, which would me to also pay for expressions and whatnots, even my harddisc is already quite filled with the G3/G8 versions...

Like Richard H. confirmed, it's OK with a direct link when someone is asking where the product can be found, which is the case here.  But not, if it's unsolicited.

At least Mousso branched out and created some male characters not long ago. That was good to see. (and buy)

I would be interested if Mousso expanded her age range, i.e. created some older or younger characters. She tends to prefer glamorous characters but someone can still look glamorous at 50, and of course teens have the advantage of youth.

But I hope Mousso continues to release figures for G8, not just 8.1, since Studio 4.15 and I have issues.

I agree on 8 figures. DS crashes a lot in 4.15. I've been thinking of trying to roll back, but the new version will be out fairly soon.

While I had taken issue with Mousso's textures from my previous purchase, I never had a problem with their sculpting prowess, and Sera is an absolute goddess! I could not take my eyes off of her, any other thoughts from my fellow daz users?

Agreed. The skin textures alone would have made me buy it.

Sera is genuinely one of the most gorgeous characters I have seen in a long time.

Really, as back in the v4/posette days they really had some low-quality dark skin and/or converted a fair skin tone without bothering to lighten the palms/soles, but yeah I don't have too much of a problem with the skins this time around as it doesn't have pronounced sculpted specular highlights baked into the texture as before, but no matter the sculpt itself is incredibly unique and flawless enough for me to buy it!

I didn't know if it belonged here or product suggestions, so I erred on the side of the commons... sorry for the disruption.

EDIT: Wait, oh I thought you were a new mod saying that it was in the wrong section, but you meant that you commented in the wrong thread!

Yep, Still haven't found the delete comment button. I'm starting to think that there isn't one. Which would be weird.

Just for reference, there's a previous thread about Sera that has additional discussion about the character.

I have so many Mousso figures...I just wish they didn't all look so young. But I guess each vendor has their thing. Or maybe I'm just that old. (40 isn't old.)(*cries*)
